For those operators that have an AEC Routemaster in their fleet for heritage purposes, the Routemaster Association and Imperial Engineering are working together to mitigate a shortage of steering rams.
Imperial will shortly commence manufacturing these units. They will be brand new and not reconditioned examples, and they will be produced to the OE specification and held in stock by Imperial.
The two parties have previously worked together successfully to manufacturer brake pump quill drives and footbrake valve service kits for the Routemaster.
