Doncaster operator Vintage Vehicle Hire has commissioned the production of new track rod ends for the AEC Routemaster, and it is offering them to other parties that run the historic double-decker.
“I have a surplus as there were none available (new or reconditioned) in the UK as far as I could ascertain,” says Director Peter Jordan.
“As I needed a couple for my Routemaster, the only sensible solution was to have a batch made.”
They are being offered for £240 each plus VAT.
