RWT Commercial Services is involved with the new HydroFlow engine ‘detox’ system. MD Bob Turnock says that while he was sceptical of the concept at first, treatment of two vehicles – a touring coach and a high-mileage bus – rapidly caused him to change his mind.

“When we carried out the ‘detox’, I could hear the engine note change and it sounded much smoother. I then road tested the bus and could not believe the difference in performance. It drove like a different vehicle.

“It is our intention to offer this service, which not only cleans carbon out of the engine but also helps DPFs and SCR equipment,” he adds.

Emissions will be monitored before and after the cleaning operation takes place. One HGV operator saw a weekly fuel saving of £164 after one of its vehicles was treated.

The system uses no chemical additives that may harm the engine. Interested parties should contact RWT Commercial Services.
