ContiTech has unveiled a powerful hydraulic press for easily fitting replacement air springs to coaches and buses.
It helps workshop staff to fold the air spring bellows in on themselves, simplifying the operation.
Until now, that task has been complicated, requiring both force and experience, and has been done manually; ContiTech says that some workshops use home-fashioned tools, which often are unsafe.
The new press mitigates all of that and it works with ContiTech, Phoenix and Prime-Ride brands. It works reliably and avoids damaging the bellows.
