TD Tyres will present the new Continental Urban HA3 315/60 R22.5 casing at Coach & Bus UK on stand N11.
It was launched in April and is the first tyre in Continental’s range to be optimised for electric buses in city traffic. It has been developed to support greater GVWs and withstand the instant torque delivery characteristic of an electric motor.
A robust casing with high wire density and thickness means that the all-round tyre can carry eight tonnes per axle.
Other products on show include the Continental Urban HA3 265/70 R19.5. It is exclusively designed for urban challenges, with enhanced robustness to handle curbs and stop-start traffic via increased sidewall thickness and wider tread width.
Coach operators can see the 315/80 R22.5 Continental Coach HA3. It has reduced rolling resistance for higher fuel efficiency and optimised compounds for better wet-weather performance.
Also present on the TD Tyres stand is the Barum BF 200 R in various sizes. It is a front axle tyre optimised for wet handling and high mileage. Completing the line-up are tyres to suit winter traction situations, and for use on smaller PCVs.
