ZF Services has introduced an oil analysis testing kit. It is available from stock to help operators to understand the health of their transmissions, axles and other key vehicle components.
Through detailed analysis, interpretation and practical recommendations, the services guides users through maintenance, aided by the product support team.
A sample of oil is extracted using the kit. It is returned in a prepaid envelope to a laboratory, where tests are undertaken.
A response is made by email within 48 hours of receipt of the sample, and it can also be viewed online. Customers can review mechanical wear, manage oil changes and assess contaminants such as dirt and water.
If oil or filter changes are required, the operator will be advised. Equally, if mechanical wear is evident, it can be addressed before a failure occurs.
