Mobile Onboard has launched mTicketr, a new smart ETM introduced at Euro Bus Expo 2016.
It’s Mobile Onboard’s first step into ETMs, focusing on the increasing adoption of mobile ticketing and contactless payments. It has a barcode scanner for QR code scanning and m-ticket validation, and cash and smartcard payments are supported.
Debit/credit card and contactless payments are planned for future releases of the product.
Mobile Onboard says it has been designed for operators who do not require the complexities and costs associated with an ITSO-certified ETM.
