Two brand new Stagecoach services, routes 1 and 2, have been launched serving Guildford, the University of Surrey and Stoughton.
Route 1 has daytime services every 10 minutes and route 2 has buses every 15 minutes.
During University term time, services will operate 24 hours a day 6 days a week.
Edward Hodgson, Stagecoach South MD, says: “This is exciting news for our customers in Guildford. We’ve been working very closely with the University of Surrey to provide a great offering to both students and residents.
“We hope people will enjoy using the on-board features which include USB charging points and free wifi. The services stand out from our normal fleet with distinctive branding representing our partnership with the University of Surrey.
“With increased congestion and traffic on our roads, our buses provide a sustainable and attractive alternative to the private car. We also have some great introductory offers on our weekly, monthly and yearly tickets which are a great incentive to try the new services.”
The new routes start on Sunday 29 July with a vacation timetable and then from Monday 24th September there will be a term time enhancement. This enhanced timetable sees route 1 providing a connection every five minutes between University of Surrey Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses, as well as a 24 hour Monday – Saturday service between Guildford and Stoughton.
