Stagecoach Rail Replacement is managing the operation of replacement transport during a major closure of Derby railway station for remodelling and resignalling.

Project planning started over two years ago and the peak of the closure has seen up to 30 operators providing 147 vehicles.

Stagecoach Rail Replacement has taken on 100 additional controllers during and is supported by staff and contractors from East Midlands Trains, CrossCountry Trains and Network Rail.

Most trains return to Derby in September but a rail replacement service between Derby and Matlock will operate from early September until October.
