Dave Kingsley, 75, MD of Birtley, Tyne & Wear-based Kingsley Coaches collapsed suddenly and died from suspected heart failure. He leaves his wife Eileen and three sons.

With his roots in haulage, he later started the long-standing coach and bus business, which now runs 30 vehicles. Specialising in schools contracts, part of the fleet has recently been upgraded with ex-London low-floor PSVAR-compliant double-deckers.

The funeral is at Holy Trinity Church (known locally as the Church on the Hill), The Avenue, Washington, Tyne & Wear NE38 7LE on 11 July at 1130hrs, then to the Sunderland Crematorium, Chester Road, Sunderland SR4 7RS for 1230hrs and afterwards at Plains Farm Club, Premier Road, Sunderland SR3 1SY.
