RATP Dev-owned Yellow Buses has appointed David Squire as MD.

He was previously RATP Dev Commercial Director North West generating bus business for Selwyns Travel, and “more generally positioning RATP Dev for bus franchising in the North West i.e. Manchester and Liverpool.”

David Squire: Appointed the replacement MD at Yellow Buses

He took up his position at the Bournemouth firm on Monday (9 October) and replaces Andrew Smith, who left the business on 6 October to “move on to other challenges.”

RATP Dev says: “The provincial bus market is confronted by several structural challenges and these are compounded in the Bournemouth-Poole conurbation by significant road congestion.

“Faced with this unprecedented level of pressure, RATP Dev will be giving David Squire and his team its full support to retain Yellow Buses’ position as a standard-setting, competitive and profitable operator.”

RATP Dev CEO Tim Jackson says: “I am confident that David Squire and the team will bring a fresh perspective and commercial edge to the Bournemouth-Poole bus market.”

Prior to joining RATP Dev, Mr Squire was MD at Network Warrington and First Eastern Counties.
