Fleet intelligence seen as key, but deployment modest: Tranzaura

Number of businesses integrating fleet data into a single unified source is sub-15%, firm finds

Fleet operators, including those in the coach and bus sector, view advanced data collection through intelligence software as critical to driving operational success into 2026, but only a low percentage are actually progressing that work, a survey by Tranzaura has found.

Around 10 coach and bus operators were among the 50 respondents. Of the overall pool, 73% told Tranzaura that fleet intelligence software will become invaluable for their data consolidation and management next year, although 57% continue to rely on manual entry.

Additionally, just 14% use unified software that integrates data from third-party sources, which Tranzaura says highlights the opportunity for data transformation across the fleet operation sector.

Those results give rise to a disconnect between digital ambition and analogue reality, the supplier continues. It describes that position as “a costly blind spot in an era where data-driven decisions define competitive edge.”

70% of respondents believe that a single, centralised interface connecting all third-party systems would “dramatically improve their ability to report, respond and scale.” Tranzaura adds that its FleetNow platform – which was launched in early 2025 – addresses that “by transforming fragmented datasets into real-time, actionable intelligence via a unified dashboard.”

It uses AI to deliver what the supplier adds is cost and operational fleet intelligence in real time to help reduce outgoings on fuel, maintenance, compliance, and labour.

Says Transzaura CEO Shane Mann: “The belief in the value of fleet intelligence is there – but action is lagging. That gap represents both a risk and a massive opportunity for forward-thinking operators to leap ahead.

“Adapting innovative ways of consolidating data is now more important than ever. With the fleet management industry being overhauled by the advent of AI on management systems, operators can no longer rely on traditional means of data entry and oversight.”

He adds that they can instead gain deeper insight into their fleets through precise and in-depth data consolidation.

“Currently, a great number of fleet professionals spend hours each month manually pooling data across multiple disparate systems and spreadsheets. In many cases, that leads to a lack of real-time visibility and increased operational costs,” Mr Mann continues. FleetNow will bring those individuals all their data in one dashboard.
