“The range of specialisms within Forbes including for example, business crime and regulatory compliance, risk and insurance, public procurement together with the full scope of commercial services means it can provide a comprehensive offering to the sector that is in my opinion, unparalleled.

“They truly are the one stop shop for legal services. That was a pull for me.”

Pauline Rigby, Partner and Head of Corporate at Forbes comments: “Jennifer has a wealth of experience in the transport and logistics sector.

“Forbes has long been aware of the transport experience we have under one roof. Jennifer’s appointment has amalgamated that experience meaning we now have a really strong proposition to offer the sector. I am incredibly enthusiastic about our future.”

Forbes has 320 staff, including 44 partners, and nine offices in Blackburn (two), Accrington, Central Lancashire, Preston, Chorley, Leeds (two) and Manchester

Jennifer Bell regularly provides advice to members of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), Freight Transport Association (FTA), British Association of Removers (BAR) and the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) together with the associations themselves.

She is able to advise clients in the areas of corporate, commercial and commercial property and with her working knowledge of the clients operator’s licence is able to identify early on the impact that various steps will have on a fundamental aspect of a clients business in this sector.

Prior to joining Backhouse Jones, Jennifer also worked in the corporate team at DWF in Manchester
