Alfa Travel has introduced two software tools from TruTac that will tighten compliance-related procedures and reduce its coach fleet’s downtime.
“We were using another package until recently, but it didn’t tell us what we needed to know,” says Operations Director Paul Bull.
“So we looked around the market and opted for the CPT Tacho Analysis and CPT Daily Checks products from TruTac.
“With the support of its team, we have deployed at pace to be ready for the 2018 season. After a short training period, we have full visibility across the fleet.”
The Tacho Analysis package includes comprehensive web-based analogue and digital tachograph analysis, supporting domestic and EU rules and the Working Time Directive.
It is cloud-based and provides the operator with instant access to compliance data, including KPI reporting.
With the Daily Checks module, drivers carry out inspections and via the app submit instant results, including detailed photos and notes, to the engineering manager for immediate review and rectification. “If a driver is stopped by DVSA, they can provide an instant audit trail to verify checks and procedures,” adds Paul.
