Allison Transmission has increased its service locations by appointing two additional network partners.

HL Smith Transmissions in Wolverhampton and Driveline Technology in Willenhall now complement long-standing authorised distributor, Mitchell Powersystems.

“By growing the service network we will increase customer engagement, providing more convenient access to parts and service, and affirming our commitment to reducing the total cost of ownership,” says EMEA Director of Customer Support and Channel Development Andrew Bonam.

HL Smith Transmissions is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of remanufactured commercial vehicle drivetrain products.

It joins Allison’s network as an authorised direct rebuilder, with the authority to remanufacture transmissions to Allison’s standards, using 100% genuine Allison parts.

It offers a complete range of 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 series units, all service exchange, with a two-year warranty. An onsite diagnostic and fitting service is available.

Remanufacturing transmissions since 1955, HL Smith supplies major UK fleet operators, OEMs and has been maintaining transmissions for the Ministry of Defence fleet for 25 years.

Driveline Technology is a new venture that will support Allison as an authorised direct dealer, providing customers with servicing, on-site repairs, and genuine service parts.

Mitchell Powersystems, which has partnered with Allison for over 60 years, continues to cover the UK and Ireland as an Allison authorised distributor, handling the majority of Allison’s U.K. servicing and reconditioning work.

The company is headquartered in Nottinghamshire and has locations in Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Romsey in Hampshire.

As a distributor, Mitchell also supports a network to independent authorised service dealers throughout the nation.
