Mainline Coaches recently introduced a new EVM Mercedes-Benz Grand Tourer to its fleet on a Camino de Santiago pilgrimage tour in Spain and Portugal.
The 19-seater minicoach came supplied with full leather reclining seats, tables, monitors for passenger entertainment, and USB ports throughout.
It embarked on its maiden trip on 10 October, leaving Mainline’s Cardiff depot for London to pick up Managing Director Chris Mainwaring and members of the hiking club.
The club was making the latest of its annual pilgrimages along the historic route, this time taking it in reverse from A Guarda to the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The EVM Mercedes-Benz Grand Tourer served as a support vehicle, hydration station and rest spot as the group of 14 completed their hike.
Mainline, which has partnered with EVM UK for its executive mini coaches since 2009, reports that the vehicle “attracted considerable attention from members of the public” due to its luxurious interior.
Danny McGee, Managing Director at EVM UK, says: “We are very proud to have collaborated with Mainline Coaches for so many years.
“We are incredibly pleased with how happy Mainline Coaches are with their purchase. What better journey for the Grand Tourer than the Camino de Santiago? We’re glad that the coach proved so popular along the route.”
