National Express has selected the CAYZN revenue management suite from Wiremind to modernise pricing and strengthen commercial performance on its scheduled coach network.
The supplier says growth in that field is becoming “driven less by network size and more by smart pricing and data-led agility.” Adoption of the CAYZN product will allow National Express “to operate more efficiently in a mature, price-sensitive market with essential improvements in forecasting allowing for faster decision making,” Wiremind adds.
Its platform will enable the business to optimise fares dynamically in line with real-time demand, forecast with greater confidence using artificial intelligence-driven modelling, and strengthen competitive agility via what the supplier describes as continuous insight into market pricing powered by millions of verified data points collected each day.
The result is claimed to be smarter pricing, stronger commercial performance, and a more sustainable network. Implementation is already underway, with a rapid deployment in hand to deliver measurable results quickly.
National Express UK Commercial Director and National Express Ireland Managing Director John Boughton says the operator was impressed by the product’s depth “and by Wiremind’s understanding of our commercial challenges.”
The supplier has a strong record in intercity transport in Europe and says it has powered revenue gains for scheduled coach operators BlaBlaCar and Itabus as well as rail companies Eurostar and Great Western Railway.
It adds that during 2024, businesses using CAYZN achieved a median uplift in revenue of 20% and in traffic of 21%.
Observes Chief Revenue Officer Philippe Renon: “National Express is one of the most recognised networks in the country. Working together, we will unlock new value through clarity, control, and precision in pricing.”
