Mobility technology business Hansatech is launching its Mobifer coach management and booking platform into the UK market. It is a cloud-based system that the supplier says digitalises the entire booking and operational workflow.

To leverage that, the Estonian firm is working with former First Travel Solutions Commercial Director Richard Kirk (pictured). He brings extensive operational and commercial experience in the sector and will support Hansatech in both deploying the product here and tailoring it to local requirements.

Mr Kirk has what the supplier says is “a proven track record of helping operators to improve revenue performance, customer experience and operational delivery,” which he continues to do via his consultancy.

Mobifer was initially developed by Tallinn-based coach operator Hansabuss, which is part of the Hansa Group. That was based on operational challenges within its charter business.

MobiferWL extends those tools to independent coach operators across Europe. It is a standalone software-as-a-service platform that enables management of enquiries, quotations, payments and dispatch.

Speaking about the collaboration with Mr Kirk, Hansatech co-founder Erkki Parna says: “We are delighted to be working with Richard as we bring Mobifer to the UK market.

“Operators across the Baltic region are already experiencing the efficiencies and growth that Mobifer enables. Richard’s sector knowledge and commercial insight will be invaluable in delivering the same value to UK operators.”

Adds Mr Kirk: “Mobifer is a proven, operator-built platform shaped by real day-to-day challenges. I am excited to work with Erkki and the Hansatech team to introduce its benefits to UK coach operators and support the sector in modernising its booking and workflow processes.”

The Mobifer Marketplace launched in Estonia during 2024 and in Latvia this year. Users there have reported faster enquiry-to-booking conversion, a major reduction in administration and improved operational clarity across teams, Hansatech says.

It adds that the platform improves data accuracy, strengthens customer communication and supports more efficient operational planning. Hansatech is now seeking conversations with UK coach operators interested in Mobifer, for which Mr Kirk can be contacted via email.
