Equipmake has secured a further £2.4 million order from Brazilian bus manufacturer Agrale for 23 units of the Snetterton business’s zero-emission bus driveline.
The completed vehicles will be supplied into the South American market. Agrale’s further order follows a deal done in September 2025 for 50 of the drivelines worth £5.45 million. The buses those are fitted to are currently entering service in Buenos Aires. Prior to that, a five-unit supply allowed evaluation of the product by Agrale.
Success with the 50-strong deployment has led to the further procurement. Equipmake will supply a fully integrated drivetrain that combines an electric motor, inverter, control systems and a battery pack, using both the supplier’s own products and components sourced from third parties.
Speaking about the latest sale, Equipmake CEO Ian Foley says: “We are delighted to receive a further order with Agrale, which demonstrates the confidence that it has in our ability to deliver Equipmake systems in South America.
“The successful deployment of the initial fleet in Buenos Aires has led to this follow-on order which helps to cement the relationship with such an important customer, together with our shared commitment to developing a robust sustainable transport network in the region.”
