Alex Niemczyk, Director at Roberts Travel Group, has joined the Women in Bus and Coach (WiBC) board as a director.
Joining 10 other directors, he will lead strategy for the coach sector for the organisation which was set up in 2023 to promote gender diversity and equality in the industry.
WiBC notes Mr Niemczyk has a “strong background in operational leadership and commercial strategy” and says he is associated with high standards of service and a positive workplace culture.
Louise Cheeseman OBE, Chair of Women in Bus and Coach, says: “We are delighted to welcome Alex to the Women in Bus and Coach board. Alex brings strong operational and commercial experience, and just as importantly, a genuine commitment to creating inclusive workplaces and championing opportunity for all.
“His appointment reflects the importance of allyship and visible leadership in driving meaningful, lasting change across our sector.”
Mr Niemczyk adds: “I’m proud to be joining the Women in Bus and Coach board at such an important time for our industry.
“I strongly believe meaningful change requires visible leadership and active allyship. The bus and coach sector offers huge opportunities, and I’m committed to supporting initiatives that encourage more women to join, stay and progress within the industry.
“Through my role at Roberts Travel Group and my involvement with WiBC, I want to help shape a sector where opportunity is accessible to all, and where the next generation of leaders see bus, coach and community transport as a place to build long, rewarding careers.”
