FlixBus is expanding its partnership with First Bus-owned J&B Travel, increasing services across Yorkshire and elsewhere this spring.
J&B Travel, which was acquired by First Bus in December 2025, joined the FlixBus network 12 months ago.
The operator began with services to Manchester Airport, Leeds and Liverpool from Bradford, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham.
It has bought three new FlixBus-branded Scania MOBIpeople coaches to its fleet to support the increased connections, adding to the 11 it already devotes to that work.
It means First Bus operates 37 of the 200 FlixBus-branded vehicles across the UK.
Andreas Schorling, Vice President West Europe at FlixBus, says: “We have fantastic partnerships with First Bus and J&B Travel, and we are delighted to continue growing together this year.
“In just five years, FlixBus has scaled rapidly across the UK, and our network continues to expand while maintaining high-quality service for passengers.”
Andrew Jarvis, Managing Director, Business and Coach at First Bus, adds: “We had already begun expansion plans with FlixBus ahead of the acquisition of J&B Travel, so it is fantastic to continue building on that momentum.
“This latest growth reflects our confidence in the express coach market and in the strength of our partnership with FlixBus.
“By combining our operational expertise with FlixBus’ innovative platform and network reach, we are well-positioned to support further expansion across the UK.”
