While MAN does not currently have any plans to introduce gas buses in the UK market, it is actively considering the electric bus market, MAN Coach and Bus MD Wayne Ulph told routeone at the IAA trade fair in Hanover.
The show saw MAN launch an all-new battery-eleltric version in its revised Lion’s City range.
The Lion’s City is MAN’s complete vehicle and has been sold in Europe for many years.
Now, says Mr Ulph, a right-hand drive version as a zero-emission electric bus could be developed and possibly come to the UK in around two years.
