Blakes Coaches has taken two more i6 integrals to follow one from 2017

Two i6 integrals have joined the Devon-based Blakes Coaches fleet, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

One is a 13.2m tri-axle, the other a 12.9m two-axle model. Both have a similar specification, including 53 i6 seats with drop-down tables and magazine nets. Also fitted are USB charging points, a drinks machine and a driver’s bunk.

DAF’s MX-11 engine coupled to the ZF AS-Tronic gearbox is the drivetrain of choice. The coaches join Blakes’ first i6 integral, delivered in 2017.

“The technical backing from DAF and Irizar UK is superb,” says Director Hannah Blake. “The nearest engineer is up the road from us in Weston-super-Mare. He is always available for help with servicing whether by dropping in or on the end of the phone.”
