Tyre manufacturer Sailun is readying to introduce its Tour Pro Z dedicated all-position coach product to the UK.
It is the first tyre of its kind in the Sailun range and has been developed specifically for coach use, the supplier says. Safety, fuel efficiency, ride quality and overall operating value are all part of that design work, it adds.
The Tour Pro Z uses EcoPoint technology and reflects Sailun’s broader Smart Performance development direction. An A rating for wet grip is carried, and the tyre’s optimised profile design aims to support prolonged safe driving and stable handling in everyday operating conditions.
At the same time, Sailun says that the coach tyre has a long-distance compound and pattern design to reduce rolling resistance, helping to improve fuel economy and reduce running costs. An optimised pitch sequence is said to contribute to lower road noise and a smoother ride.
The product is planned for release at the end of June. It will be available in size 295/80 R22.5, with a 154/150 load index and an M speed symbol. EU label values are B for fuel efficiency, A for wet grip, and A for external noise at 70dB. The tyre also carries 3PMSF and M+S markings.
Sailiun adds that creating a dedicated, all position coach tyre in the Tour Pro Z rather than evolving an earlier generation of casing “is strengthening its ability to serve passenger transport fleets with a tyre developed specifically for this segment and its operating demands.”
