JMB Travel has expanded its partnership with Velociti Solutions by adopting the supplier’s Depot Allocation System and Engage driver app.

The North Lanarkshire-based operator has added the new technology following its implementation of Velociti’s timetabling, scheduling, mapping and data-sharing modules.

According to Velociti Solutions, the latest investment will help JMB Travel, which operates local bus service and private coach hire, streamline driver and vehicle allocation while improving operational efficiency.

The Depot Allocation System provides real-time visibility of drivers, duties and vehicles to help operators deliver services safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

The Engage driver app is designed to improve communication by giving drivers instant access to work information and updates.

The two systems working in combination are intended to support a more connected, responsive and efficient operation.

Jennifer Bell, Business Owner at JMB Travel, says the additional technology is a natural progression following the success of the operator’s existing Velociti Solutions software.

“Having already seen the benefits of Velociti Solutions’ Omnibus scheduling suite, the depot allocation system and Engage driver app were the obvious next steps in our digital transformation,” she says.

“As our business continues to evolve, having integrated digital tools that simplify day-to-day operations is becoming increasingly important. These solutions will help us improve efficiency, enhance communication with our drivers and ensure we continue delivering a reliable service for our passengers.”

Nick Brookes, Chief Customer Officer at Velociti Solutions, adds: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with JMB Travel.

“By extending their use of our solutions, they will benefit from greater operational visibility, more streamlined workforce management and stronger communication across the business.

“We look forward to supporting the team as they continue to enhance both their operations and the service they deliver to passengers.”
