A partnership involving Arriva and a Surrey-based charity aims to increase awareness of hidden disabilities and make the operator’s services more accessible for all.

Arriva and Care and Consideration with a Smile join forces to help raise awareness of people with hidden disabilities

As part of the link with Care and Consideration with a Smile, staff at Arriva’s Guildford depot have undertaken special awareness training to help them understand and identify how they can help individuals with hidden disabilities use the public transport system.

“Living with hidden disabilities can make it difficult to travel on public transport and it’s therefore really important that our drivers are training to identify the ways in which they can help,” says Phil Cooper, Arriva’s Operations Manager, Guildford.
