Two Leeds park-and-ride services offering city centre links on ultra-low emission buses have now recorded a combined total of more than two million passenger journeys.
Passengers trips and car numbers parked on the Elland Road site, which was opened in June 2014, and the Temple Green site, which has been operating since June 2017, have risen by 48% year-on-year.
Park-and-ride buses operated by First Leeds serve the city centre every 10-15 minutes from the two sites, which were developed by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council.
Hitting the two million journeys mark is a “real achievement”, says Cllr Kim Groves, Chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Transport Committee.
