Two teams from Transdev Blazefield are in training for a cross-country charity challenge using bikes and buses to race across the North of England.

The five competitors will be tackling the race from Preston to Scarborough on Saturday 27 April, to raise money and awareness for male suicide charity CALM – the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

The competitors are all based at Transdev’s Starbeck offices in Harrogate – with Marketing and Communications Manager Ben Mansfield and Vamooz Manager Rebecca Reeve-Burnett sticking to bikes for the journey, while CEO Alex Hornby, Marketing and Communications Assistant Matt Harrison and Graphic Designer Mark Reeves will use the company’s buses.

The route will take them across the firm’s operating area, starting from Preston Bus Station in Lancashire, calling in at the company’s offices in Starbeck and ending up in Scarborough.
