Star Tours takes a 13.5m VDL Futura FHD2

Wembley operator Star Tours has taken delivery of a VDL Futura FHD2, supplied by Moseley (PCV) (01977 609000) and finished in a striking purple-based vinyl wrap.

It is to the maximum 13.5m length for a two-axle FHD2, and it comes with 57 Class 300 seats that have Top Luxe upholstery and leather headrest inserts and piping. Three-point belts, drop-down tables and magazine nets are also fitted.

Entertainment is from a Bosch Smart Line multimedia system and the coach also has a drinks facility, a fridge and a toilet. USB charging sockets are fitted throughout.

Power is from the DAF MX-11 engine rated at 410bhp driving through a ZF EcoLife six-speed automatic gearbox that incorporates an integral retarder.
