Midlands operator D&G Bus will introduce a commercial service linking Stafford and Uttoxeter rail stations with Alton Towers when the theme park reopens for the 2019 summer season in May.
A daily return journey will allow passengers to purchase entrance tickets to Alton Towers on board the bus. Trips will also operate that serve shift change times at the attraction, says Operations Director Kevin Crawford.
“It is rewarding to be able to launch another new service. We’ve been listening to feedback about there not being a direct link, which the X41 will now provide.”
