The All-Party Political Group (APPG) for the road passenger transport industry has been relaunched and it is seeking operators who are interested in joining and helping to develop the sector’s voice.

The Group’s secretary, Dawsongroup Bus and Coach Managing Director Paul Sainthouse (pictured), says that annual membership will entitle operators to attend and participate in the Group’s parliamentary functions.

Through regular parliamentary interactions, the APPG’s members will be provided with the opportunity to engage with a wide range of industry experts and to interact with members of both Houses in a manner that promotes and raises awareness of the sector.

Says Mr Sainthouse: “It is critical that the road transport sector engages with parliamentarians and legislators in respect of the challenges the industry faces, and to propagate an understanding of the social and environmental benefits that can be drawn from the services that the industry provides.”

The next APPG event is due to take place on Monday 9 September at 1900hrs in the Palace of Westminster. Contact paulsainthouse@dawsongroup.co.uk for more information.
