Dometic has launched a turn assistant system to help avoid blind spot accidents.
The CAM1000 camera “reliably distinguishes” pedestrians and cyclists from other objects such as traffic light poles, says Dometic.
It complies with technical requirements recently introduced by German authorities.
Intelligent image processing software minimises the risk of false alarms. Integrated infra-red LEDs guarantee good image quality, even during hours of darkness.
Installation is simple and all components are within the camera housing. The CAM1000 can be used on “almost any commercial vehicle.”
