In a bid to get passengers chatting, for six weeks between January and February Stagecoach South West (SW) has launched Chatty Tuesdays on route 57.

Partnered with local charity Westbank Community Health, the Chatty Bus launched on 21 January and runs every Tuesday from 1000-1400hrs until 25 February.

Marketing Coordinator of Stagecoach SW Aisha O’Connor, says: “With loneliness becoming a widespread issue in society, we are delighted to be able to get involved with our local community.

“We’re looking forward to launching our own Chatty Bus to encourage our passengers to have a chat.”

Westbank representative Nina Parnell, says: “The Chatty Bus service will provide a brilliant opportunity for our volunteers to have a friendly chat with people on route and also to provide information to link them into community groups and services which can help to reduce loneliness and isolation.”
