Norman Allen, founder of Norman Allen Group Travel, died on 9 January aged 97.
Norman started his first tours in 1954 after becoming inspired while on holiday in Austria. He worked as Tours Manager at Warren’s Coaches before establishing Norman Allen Group Travel in 1972.
He retired in 1992 but his passion continued. In 2005, aged 83, he guided his own group tour above the arctic circle in Norway.
Following a family burial, a memorial service took place in Herefordshire on Friday 17 January.
