Visit Wales has strengthened its relationship with the Coach Tourism Association by enrolling as a partner member. It represents a formalisation of an already strong understanding between the two bodies, says CTA.
The collaboration aims to encourage more coach operators and their customers to discover Wales, including The Wales Way. That is a family of three national routes that highlight adventure, culture and landscape within Wales.
Says Visit Wales Product Marketing Manager Clare Dwight: “We recognise the importance of the coach touring sector to the tourism industry in Wales and we welcome all the visitors that domestic coach operators bring to our country.
“We are looking forward to sharing the latest product ideas and itineraries with Coach Tourism Association members. In 2021, we are celebrating a Year of Outdoors in Wales, and there is no better time to plan trips to our country.”
Coach Tourism Association Chair Robert Shaw has welcomed Visit Wales’ decision to extend its relationship with the Association. It joins CalMac Ferries, DFDS, Tourism Ireland and Visit Scotland as partner members.
Says Mr Shaw: “We are delighted that Visit Wales has become a partner. We look forward to working closely with it to promote more opportunities for coach groups to see the best of the wonders that Wales has to offer.”
