Delaine Buses has continued a longstanding tradition and placed a 71-plate bus into service on the first day of the new registration mark, 1 September, with the latest addition taking the form of an Alexander Dennis Enviro200.
It is the third Enviro200 for the Bourne operator, with the previous examples having entered service on the first day that 70- and 21-plate marks became current, respectively. Many other vehicles have followed the same tradition in previous years and like many of those additions before it, the new bus also carries a cherished registration.
All the Enviro200s have been built to Delaine’s specification, including wood veneer panelling, a bespoke red tartan moquette for the 43 seats, and they are resplendent in the famous two-tone blue livery with cream relief.

As an independent bus operator, it is great to see how its versatility can accommodate our traditional specification. Our Enviro200 buses are primarily deployed on a 28-mile interurban route, and they have proved to be very well suited to both the urban and the rural aspects of the service.”
