Newbury and District, a sister company to municipal operator Reading Buses, has taken delivery of two Volvo B8Rs with PSVAR compliant Leopard bodywork, supplied by Dawsongroup.

Among the work carried out by the new coaches are home-to-school duties. They also complement other vehicles of between eight and 86 seats that are available to hire in Newbury and District’s fleet, a line of work that the operator expects to see grow shortly.

“We understand that venues and museums are seeing a jump in enquiries as COVID-19 restrictions ease, as well as schools planning their summer trips out,” says CEO Robert Williams.

Euro VI compliance in the two newcomers also makes them well suited to work into Greater London, he adds.
