ALBUM, the Association of Local Bus Managers, has welcomed Andrew Halliday as its new Administrator following the retirement from the role of Allan Edmondson.
Mr Halliday, who is Managing Director of Safeguard Coaches, has decided to step back to part-time involvement with the century-old business, while committing to working further with ALBUM. He was already an ALBUM board member.
He says: “I am pleased to be able to assist ALBUM at a critical time for the bus industry and the SME sector in particular, and I am looking forward to the challenge.”
He will maintain a non-executive director/consultant position at Safeguard Coaches as General Manager James Vallance transitions into the Managing Director role.
ALBUM thanked Mr Edmondson for his “dedicated” five-year tenure of the role.
Bill Hiron, Chair of ALBUM, says: “We extend our gratitude to Allan Edmondson for his unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions during his tenure as Administrator. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing ALBUM’s mission and strengthening our community of bus operators. We wish him all the best in his retirement from ALBUM.
“We are pleased to welcome Andrew Halliday. With his deep industry knowledge and longstanding commitment to ALBUM, Andrew is exceptionally well positioned to guide us through the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We look forward to working closely with him as we continue to advocate for the interests of our members and the wider bus industry.”
