LibertyBus has announced a partnership with Great Scenic Journeys to promote tourism via sustainable travel in Jersey.

The collaboration means seven of the operator’s services will be highlighted on the Great Scenic Journeys website, which was set up to provide a form of accreditation for the most spectacular routes in the UK and beyond.

The searchable portal lists scenic bus journeys by each region, including information such as attractions along the way, a synopsis of the trip, route frequency and duration, plus links to timetables and how to reach the starting point.

In the case of LibertyBus, the following routes on the island will be promoted: route 1 (St Helier to Gorey Pier); route 3 (St Helier to Jersey Zoo); route 4 (St Helier to Bonne Nuit Bay and Bouley Bay); route 7 (St Helier to Devil’s Hole); route 9 (St Helier to Greve de Lecq); route 14 (St Helier to St Brelade’s Bay); route 22 (St Helier to L’Etacq).

Kevin Hart, LibertyBus Director, says: “Partnering with Great Scenic Journeys allows us to further our commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences while promoting the natural beauty of Jersey.

“We are excited to offer our customers even more opportunities to explore the island’s unique landscapes including the glorious beaches, visitor attractions and incredible historical landmarks.

“Great Scenic Journeys is all about promoting what we have to offer for residents and visitors.”

Alex Warner, Managing Director at Great Scenic Journeys, adds: “Working with LibertyBus has been a pleasure. Their dedication to quality service and sustainable travel aligns perfectly with our mission to promote the island’s stunning scenery and rich heritage.

“We believe this partnership will encourage more people to experience all that Jersey has to offer in an environmentally friendly way.”
