Four customers’ minibuses will be joined by a revolutionary virtual reality-based system and two-day programme of industry seminars.

Treka will once again be prominent at the CV Show this month, with four mininbuses present

Treka will be comprehensively demonstrating its capabilities at this month’s CV Show, held on 25-27 April at the NEC Birmingham.

In addition to four minibuses, Treka will have virtual reality headsets on its stand (5F111). They will give a taste of all of the options across its range, virtual demonstrations of lift operation, and a virtual tour of its factory.

Additionally, a two-day programme of seminars looking at five aspects of the industry will be targeted at buyers of accessible minibuses, particularly those from local authorities.

“We’ve continually grown our presence at the CV Show and for us it is very important that we promote Treka and what we have achieved in the last year,” says Production Director Morgan Clissett.

“The four minibuses on display will demonstrate to visitors the scope for variation in what we build. A lot of our customers regard the CV Show as a meeting platform and it is vital that we show them these vehicles,” adds Sales Director Helen Day.

Two minibuses will be present on Treka’s stand and one on each of Eberspächer and Webasto’s. All will be customers’ vehicles based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

The vehicle convertor and bodybuilder will show a coachbuilt Treka 16 for London Hire. Part of a procurement outside the normal supply arrangement, it has a PLS stretcher lift, Rescroft seats, parking sensors and some non-standard aspects.

Alongside will be a side entry van conversion destined for Central Bedfordshire Council, part of a 15-vehicle deal with this conquest customer and with orange handrails and head bump pads among other items.

On Eberspächer’s stand (5F80) will be a high-specification Treka 16 for rental company Enterprise, including water heating throughout, a PLS lift and newly-developed Enterprise seat trim.

On Webasto’s stand (5D10) will be a side entry extra-long wheelbase conversion with Phoenix Shuffle and Sirius seats, along with a PLS lift and a four-camera CCTV system including nearside and offside cameras.

The Treka Bus Seminar Series will take place in an adjacent conference room on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 April and will involve content being shown to visitors on a ‘drop in’ basis with the intention of building knowledge and looking to the future.

The four minibuses present will include a variety of specifications to show Treka’s capabilities

Material will cover the future of the accessible minibus; the future of the light commercial platform, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz; choosing the correct heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system; choosing the correct lift; and, in co-operation with Ring Automotive, the vehicle of the future and making it more intelligent.

All clips are under 10 minutes’ duration and will be available on Treka’s website following the show.

Treka will also be promoting its wider range of vehicles, which extends from 3.5-5.5t GVW accessible minibuses seating from 12-22 passengers. CV Show registration is free.
