Stagecoach South has appointed George Cooper as its new Commercial Manager.
Mr Cooper has a long career in the transport industry, most recently working as Product Manager for Cityswift in Galway.
That journey began while he was at university, when he worked part-time as a coach and bus driver and ticket-seller.
In 2017, he joined a graduate scheme with Go South Coast and, by 2019, he had progressed to the role of Commercial Manager for Go-Ahead Ireland in Dublin.
Following his subsequent time at Cityswift working with data on public transport optimisation, Stagecoach South welcomes his return to the field of operations.
The native of Eastleigh in Hampshire used Stagecoach South buses extensively when growing up, the operator notes.
