Alexander Dennis is adding the Enviro100EV to its stock-built catalogue for 2025, while continuing to make the Enviro200 single-decker and the Enviro400 double-decker available for rapid delivery.

The 8.5m-long battery-electric Enviro100EV, which was launched in 2023, will be the first zero-emissions bus stocked by Alexander Dennis.

The manufacturer will also expand the options held on stock for the well-established Enviro200 and Enviro400.

Charlie Miller, Retail Sales Director for Alexander Dennis, says: “In the fast-paced world of the bus industry, operators need to be able to react quickly to contract wins or growing customer demand alongside ongoing investment in fleets that they can be sure will stand the test of time and deliver for their companies’ bottom line.

“That’s why we’re offering an even wider range of stock in 2025 that ranges from compact midibuses to high-capacity double deckers, and making sure they are available quickly when our customers need them.”

The Enviro100, first seen on the roads last year, is introduced as the “big small bus” and pitched as being ideal for narrow housing estates or winding country roads. It has capacity for 25 seats and up to 20 standing passengers and comes with 354kWh batteries.

Stock Enviro200 will be available as 8.9m, 9.7m and 10.8m as well as an 11.8m option with six-cylinder engine that has been reintroduced to the stock programme.

Optional seatbelts can be installed before delivery or added during the buses’ service lives. Seat trims and flooring are provided by Camira and Altro respectively.

They will be either pre-wired for hearing loops and audio-visual next stop announcements or will have these systems factory fitted, allowing operators to meet the latest PSVAIR regulations.

The Enviro400 on stock are 11.5m-long with room for 85 passengers and a wheelchair bay accessed through the main passenger door.

All fixed seats have three-point belts and furnishings are also courtesy of Camira and Altro.

USB charging ports are provided at all seats. They will have digital tachographs and will be pre-wired to meet required PSVAIR standards.

Some Enviro100EV, Enviro200 and Enviro400 buses are already available, while stocks will be topped up over the coming months.

Mr Miller adds: “Our fantastic sales team is looking forward to discussing bus operators’ requirements, identifying the best vehicles to enhance our valued customers’ fleets and preparing their new buses for them.”
