David Felton has been appointed Projects Managing Director of EO Charging. He brings a strong background as an electrical engineer and has broad experience in that field, including senior positions with Scottish Power, United Utilities, Alstom, Balfour Beatty, Signalling Solutions, and Chubb.
EO Charging says that Mr Felton joins at a pivotal time for the supplier, which sets out to deliver best-in-class electrical infrastructure for commercial fleets worldwide, including buses. Those operations and customer support functions continue to scale up.
Mr Felton will focus on building what EO terms a best-in-class team capable of engineering, procuring and constructing the infrastructure that customers need to electrify their fleets quickly and efficiently. His immediate priority is to fully understand customer needs and to ensure that EO Charging “consistently exceeds expectations.”
Speaking about his move, Mr Felton says: “What led me to join EO was the enthusiasm and drive of the team. Their ambition to grow resonated with me.
“Coming from a transmission and distribution background, I see parallels with the rapid transition needed in the EV sector to meet net-zero targets. EO is well placed to lead the way.”
He adds that opportunity to optimise fleet electrification for customers is a particular point of interest. “EO has created a fantastic base not just to electrify fleets and buses, but also to optimise our customers’ operations through smart infrastructure,” he notes.
“Beyond bus electrification, the major electrical infrastructure investments across the UK, USA and EMEA highlight the need for local customer access to charging solutions. This includes supporting companies, contractors and hauliers as they transition to electric fleets.”
Mr Felton adds a belief that EO will deliver a major impact in futureproofing client access to fully monitored, controlled electrification solutions.
“EO will set the standards in designing, building, operating and controlling electrified fleets, ensuring that our customers can operate with confidence and reliability.”
