Dublin-based company confirmed as supplier of 39-seat, 9.5m midicoach from Turko-Japanese JV

9.5m Anadolu Isuzu Visigo seat up to 39 and has a Cummins ISB engine

The Dublin-based Harris Group has confirmed that it is to act as importer of the Anadolu Isuzu Visigo midicoach for the UK and Irish markets.

At 9.5m long the Visigo seats up to 39 passengers. As exclusively revealed by routeone earlier this year, discussions have been ongoing for a number of months as the Turkey-based manufacturer worked to find a dealership here.

“We will shortly bring a left-hand drive Visigo to Dublin and show it to operators. Based on their feedback we will then finalise the right-hand drive specification with a view to delivering the first in July 2018,” says Harris Group Marketing and New Product Director Chris Haughton.

In right-hand drive form the Visigo will be powered by a Cummins ISB6.7 engine developing 300bhp coupled to the ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.

Speaking at May’s FIAA show in Madrid, Anadolu Isuzu Export Specialist Sevcan Karaman said that bringing its products to the UK was a priority, and a project that the manufacturer “intended to see through.”

The Visigo is available with a variety of high-end fittings – including, for what is believed to be the first time in its sector, a glazed roof.

Anadolu Isuzu is jointly-owned by the Anadolu Group and Isuzu Motors. Mr Haughton adds that Harris has acted as an Isuzu distributor for 40 years.
