Exeter’s city centre development has been hit by a ‘double whammy’ after a deal to build a new £40m leisure centre and bus station collapsed, days after plans to extend the adjacent Princesshay shopping centre, were axed due to “market conditions.” 
The bus station will still close on 28 October; its replacement, planned for 2019, will now not open until at least 2020.
