New buses unveiled for Worthing bus route

Investment by Compass Travel and Stagecoach, sees three new buses – with a new look – put to work on a revamped route in Worthing.

Route 7 (High Salvington-Worthing-Lancing) is run by Compass Travel on behalf of Stagecoach.

Says Compass MD Chris Chatfield, said: “We're very pleased to have worked with Stagecoach to secure these latest buses which represent a further investment by ourselves to local bus transport in the area".

The commercial partnership between the two operators started in 2012 and was the first Stagecoach service to be franchised in the south.

Stagecoach South MD Edward Hodgson adds: “This is a successful partnership with Compass Travel who provide a high standard of service.

“Route 7 continues to be an important part of the Stagecoach bus network and this latest investment further demonstrates our continued commitment to making even more improvements for customers.

“We have recently launched a new app, featuring mobile ticketing and bus tracking to complement our comprehensive website and I hope even more People will discover the benefits of bus travel.”
