In a tribute to its late founder, Jeanne Wilson, Daish’s Holidays has announced a year-long partnership with The Eve Appeal, a leading charity focused on the research and prevention of gynaecological cancers.
In the wake of a successful partnership with Cancer Research UK in 2023, The Bournemouth-based family coach holiday operator is set to embark on a series of fundraising endeavours to support the charity’s work in cancer research and awareness.
Paul Harper, Commercial Director at Daish’s Holidays, says: “Cancer sadly affects far too many of us and unfortunately in January this year we bid farewell to our remarkable leader and company founder Jeanne Wilson following her cancer diagnosis.
“Raising money for charitable causes is important to all of us at Daish’s Holidays, and as a tribute to Mrs Wilson it was important for us to select this charity as our partner for the year.”
The Eve Appeal’s CEO Athena Lamnisos lauds the initiative as an “incredible way” for colleagues and friends to honour Jeanne’s memory. “We are excited to get to work with the team at Daish and help both raise awareness and funds for our ground-breaking and life saving work,” she adds.
Contributions will be welcomed via donation points located at the hotels as well as through participating in raffles and fundraising activities throughout the year. The partnership with Eve follows a very successful collaboration with Cancer Research UK in 2023.
The collaboration will see a variety of fundraising activities rolled out across Daish’s Holidays’ locations, inviting both staff and guests to contribute to the cause.
Donation points will be established across its hotels, and numerous raffles and fundraising events are slated throughout the year to encourage contributions.
