Diamond Bus North West (DBNW) has clinched the Wellbeing Award at the 2023 Bolton News Awards.
It comes after the company was named finalist this year for both the Company of the Year award and the Wellbeing Award. DBNW won of the Company of the year award in 2022.
The Wellbeing Award specifically underlines the efforts made by companies in promoting welfare for their staff. In a ceremony on 21 September DBNW was acknowledged for its exemplary initiatives centred on fostering an environment where employees thrive and achieve job satisfaction.
Earlier this year, DBNW became the first operator in Greater Manchester to gain membership status with the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter. The initiative works to elevate employment standards across the region by ensuring secure and flexible work conditions, fair pay, and prioritising health and wellbeing.
For DBNW, the association signifies that all its employees receive the Real Living Wage standard or higher. Moreover, it affirms the company’s dedication to ensuring staff have an active voice and an established rapport with senior management.
Emma Woods, Group Head of HR, says: “Winning the Wellbeing Award at the Bolton News Awards 2023 is a real achievement and builds on a fantastic year for the company. I am delighted that we have been recognised for all our efforts to provide an exceptional environment for our employees. I am looking forward to continuing building on the last 12 months’ achievements and will continue to focus on our people agenda and driving forward employee engagement.”
