Coach Tourism Association (CTA) has announced Isabelle Sanzelle Kanaan as its new Operations Director.
Following news that Sue Rooney and Steve Rooney will step down from their CTA member services roles by the end of this year, Ms Sanzelle Kanaan will assume the position on 17 September.
After graduating with an economics degree from Loughborough University, her first job was in the coach travel industry, acting as a tour director for Cosmos Globus on European Grand Tours.
Later working at Thomas Cook and Kerry Group, she joined communications agency Sopexa, promoting French food and wine in the UK. She was appointed Executive Director of Maison de l’Occitanie in 2009.
CTA Chair Robert Shaw says: “We’re delighted to welcome Isabelle to the CTA as the organisation’s new Operations Director.
“Isabelle has a great deal of experience from the travel trade, including first-hand knowledge of the demands of managing coach tour operations.
“Isabelle will support our operator and wholesaler members, alongside the needs of our supplier members, and we look forward to her joining the team.”
Regarding the departure of Steve and Sue Rooney, who currently perform the role, Mr Shaw adds: “Steve and Sue have served CTA members for many years and have made an excellent contribution to push the industry forward. We wish them well with their next projects.”
