National Express has announced Airport Bus Express as a partner operator, with effect from 1 April.
The operator will deliver National Express’s 717 service between London Stansted Airport and Ipswich, providing eight round-trips per day.
The Italian-owned Airport Bus Express, until last year, had the contract with the airport to operate the London Stansted-London route in competition with National Express.
It becomes one of 29 National Express partner operators working across the long-distance scheduled coach network.
Javier Martinez Prieto, Managing Director at National Express, says: “Our partner operator network is fundamental to how we deliver reliable services right across the UK.
“We are delighted to welcome ABE to the National Express family, and their expertise and commitment to our rigorous safety and customer service standards will help ensure passengers travelling between Stansted Airport and Ipswich continue to enjoy the consistent, high-quality experience they expect from us.”
Claudia Ciocca, General Manager at ABE’s owning group, S.T.A.R. S.p.A., adds: “We are proud to be joining the National Express network and to support the delivery of services between Stansted Airport and Ipswich.
“At ABE, safety, reliability and customer service are at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to working closely with National Express to provide passengers with a comfortable and dependable travel experience.”
